Security is a major area of concern for companies large and small, especially with the advent of SOX and the new CPA requirements.
Logon Security
The software cannot be run without signing on as one of a possible number of users, each with their own user ID and password. Each user ID has adjustable expiration times for forced password changes.
User ID's Have Client Maintained Authorities
CheqMaster's functionality is distributed across three types of user authority levels.
OPERATOR: these user ID's are limited to standard cheque processing.
SUPERVISOR: this authority level controls cheque reprints or partial prints as well as account selection overrides
ADMINISTRATOR: ID's with this authority are used to manage system resources, signing limits ( if any) and the control of user Id's and authority levels.
Complete and Secure Log files
CheqMaster also provides a complete logging function for all actions and changes made to the system. This logging function, in part, helps assure that unintentional reprints of cheques are not permitted without specific approvals.
OPERATOR & SUPERVISOR: Can Print Daily Activity Log
ADMINISTRATOR: Can Selectively Print, Delete and Reset log files
The log files are designed to record specifically who performed what functions on which files at what date and time. Flexibility in this function allows CheqMaster to readily meet any special security or reporting requirements a client may have.
Further Security Through Encryption Techniques
CheqMaster provides additional security by encrypting all resource and log files used by the system. This helps to ensure that the sensitive components of the overall system are difficult to tamper with. Any detected breach of the encryption algorithm will stop the software from executing without reinstallation.
MICR Line Control
MICR Line is turned off for voided, duplicate or multiple page cheques.
High Security Cheque Paper
Security can be further enhanced by the choice of Toner Grip and watermarked, black light filament, chemically treated, security notation blank cheque stock.
